What we are looking for:

Stoneridge Software is a looking for a highly motivated, honest and passionate person who wants to work in a fast-paced Information Technology role working with computers, software, networks, virtualization, active directory just to name a few. This is a part-time Intern position, with the possibility of full-time after graduation.

The intern will work with the IT Manager to ensure all systems are running efficiently while ensuring users are able to be productive in their day-to-day routine.

A Day in the Life:

  • Assist with licensing and software compliance
  • Monitoring network and identify any issues that may cause performance problems
  • PC imaging, repair and inventory along with Life Cycle Management
  • Assist with upgrades, installations on pc's and servers including Hyper V
  • Active Directory monitoring and cleanup
  • Documentation of all systems where documentation is needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a technical degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field
  • Must understand networks, routers, switches, firewalls
  • Working knowledge of PC's and server equipment
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to work in a very fast paced environment
  • High level of detail orientation
  • Time management ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to think creatively and share freely of ideas
  • Ability to lift 50-75 pounds
  • Proven success being part of a team
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel specifically)
  • Ability to communicate well both orally and in written English
  • Valid driver's license

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
